Masahiro Horie|Special Senior Advisor


Masahiro has extensive experience in government service having held a number of prominent positions within the Japanese government, including Director-General of the Cabinet Secretariat Office for Administrative Reform, Director-General of the Information and Telecommunications Policy Bureau of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (“MIC”) as well as Vice Minister for Policy Coordination at the MIC and also subsequently served as a special advisor to the MIC. Masahiro currently is a professor and dean of International Affairs at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), also serving as vice president of GRIPS. He is also a visiting professor at Beijing University and Fudan University. In 2001 Masahiro was named as one of the “The Stars of Asia”, an award given by Business Week.
